MAKÜ-VET Animal Hospital Emergency Clinic has been providing 24/7 service since July 2, 2018. You can bring your pets to our Emergency Clinic at any time of the day without an appointment. Emergency Clinic services are provided to animals brought in for examination and treatment outside of working hours and on holidays.

Mobile Clinic Services
The main mission of the Mobile Clinic Unit is field service focused on education and practice. In this context, especially in areas where farm animal husbandry is intensively carried out in the Burdur region, it is aimed for Veterinary Faculty intern and postgraduate program students to evaluate their knowledge about animal welfare and livestock under field and business conditions and to gain professional application skills in animal health services for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases.
With these studies, an effective contribution is made to public and public enterprises. The studies are carried out with the Mobile Clinic vehicle under the organization of the Mobile Clinic Services Commission.
Surgical Clinic Services
The Department of Surgery deals with the medical, conservative and operative treatments of surgical diseases in animals. Particularly, the Department of Surgery is responsible for the first aid of the patient directly, in all kinds of accidents and injuries, in the treatment of traumatic lesions of the skeletal system such as fractures and dislocations. It finds a field of operative surgery when aesthetic and reconstructive surgery needs, when no result can be obtained from conservative and medical treatment or when a definitive diagnosis cannot be made. Prominent topics in the field of orthopedics and traumatology are studies aimed at bone healing in traumatic diseases of the skeletal system with different implants, osteosynthesis methods, external fixation, prosthesis applications. In the field of soft tissue surgery, studies are conducted especially on urinary system surgery, eye (cataract, cornea transplant, etc.), ear and dental diseases. In addition to this, reanimation, analgesia, thoracic surgery, reconstructive surgery and other topics also form a separate focus point in emergency trauma and shock patients.
Internal Medicine Clinical Services
The main mission of the Department of Internal Medicine is education, research, and clinical services; its primary responsibility is to train veterinary candidates for preventive medicine for the public in the region where they will work in terms of diseases that can be transmitted from animals, and the diagnosis and treatment of animal diseases. The Internal Medicine Clinic; It continues its studies mainly in two basic areas, namely Large Animal and Small Animal Clinics. Examinations and treatments of farm animals, cats, dogs, and exotic animals are carried out by the Department of Internal Medicine, and preventive medicine services are provided.
Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinical Services
Work is being done and clinical activities are being conducted on reproductive physiologies and endocrinologies, pregnancy and diagnostic methods, pregnancy physiology and problems, normal birth and birth assistance methods, estrus synchronization and methods, puerperal period and problems, infertility and sterility, breast health and diseases, milking and hygiene, breast health control programs. All surgical interventions related to reproductive diseases can be applied. Work is being done and applications are being made in areas such as embryo transfer, in-vitro fertilization and maturation, reproductive biotechnology methods.
Breeding and Artificial Insemination Clinical Services
The main areas of activity of the Department of Breeding and Artificial Insemination are primarily in pets such as dogs, cats, rabbits and in farm animals, andrological and reproductive problems; it includes studies to improve breeding efficiency using assisted reproductive biotechnologies and controlled breeding techniques. In addition, it consists of scientific research and practical applications related to sperm collection, storage of sperm using different preservative substances, and sperm analyses performed with flow cytometric methods.
Clinical Diagnosis Laboratory Services
The Clinical Diagnosis Laboratory has modern devices and equipment. In our laboratory, Biochemistry, Hemogram, Hormone and Urine analyses are performed with fully automatic devices and results are given on the same day. In addition, samples are also sent to microbiology, pathology, virology and parasitology laboratories for diagnosis.
Stray Animals
Services are provided to stray animals brought to our faculty, within the scope of our standard fee schedule as required by legislation. However, under the protocols we have signed with Burdur and Bucak Municipalities, all treatment costs for animals brought to our faculty are covered by Burdur and Bucak Municipalities. Therefore, for health services for stray cats and dogs, please contact the relevant municipality and request that stray animals be brought to our hospital by municipal officials.
